Boys’ Volleyball

Program Overview

The Boys’ Volleyball program launched in 2018 under the leadership of Coach Ben Diaz who has achieved tremendous success with the girls’ program. The Boys’ Volleyball team has been off to a tremendous start under the leadership of Coach Emily Kriebel. With the sport rapidly growing in New York City and across the country, Coach Kriebel is excited to get Poly’s Boys’ team on top. As a former Division 1 volleyball player, she uses her high-level knowledge and skills to train her student-athletes. She brings her experience coaching with Brooklyn Elite Volleyball where she has medaled as a coach and with East Coast Beach Volleyball Academy. Through her work with Brooklyn Elite, she has medaled as a coach at several events including bronze medal in 18 Open at USAV Junior Olympics, Silver. Her coaching style is made up of three primary components: discipline, resiliency, and hard work. Kriebel looks forward to helping her student-athletes develop the correct foundation and master fundamental skills, exceed their expectations, and show them their true potential.

Boys’ Volleyball Coach

Emily Kriebel is Head Coach for Poly’s Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team, as well as serving as Assistant Coach for Girls’ Varsity Volleyball, and Head Coach for Middle School Girls’ Volleyball since 2019. Kriebel, who played Division I Volleyball at St. Francis College, has also worked for Brooklyn Elite Volleyball as a Compliance Director and Head Coach since 2018. In 2013, she was named South Jersey Player of the Year. As part of the BEV program, Kriebel led camps, clinics, and practice sessions for up to 100 athletes at a time. More than 20 of the athletes she coached have gone on to play volleyball in college.
